SEO and Internet Marketing practices require constant activity and monitoring

SEO activity must be constant and varied. Too often businesses see that as a “pitch” used by internet marketing firms build billing and sell services. The fact is search engines are constantly adjusting their algorithms to improve search outcomes for their users. This happens daily. Not weekly or monthly, buy daily.

As a result, a variety of activities ultimately comprise best SEO practices and are needed to achieve and maintain good organic search results. The activities include, but are not limited to new content additions such as blogs, news releases, testimonials, product introductions, product demonstrations, industry news, case studies, white papers and videos related to any area of the business or related industries.

SEO – Internet Marketing Strategies Need SEO Best Practices

The need for ongoing SEO actibity is is best illustrated by the September 21, 2011 testimony of Eric Schmidt, Google’s Executive Chairman given before the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Subcommittee on Antitrust, Competition Policy, and Consumer Rights

“To give you a sense of the scale of the changes that Google considers, in 2010 we conducted 13,311 precision evaluations to see whether proposed algorithm changes improved the quality of its search results, 8,157 side-by-side experiments where it presented two sets of search results to a panel of human testers and had the evaluators rank which set of results was better, and 2,800 click evaluations to see how a small sample of real-life Google users responded to the change.  Ultimately, the process resulted in 516 changes that were determined to be useful to users based on the data and, therefore, were made to Google‟s algorithm.  Most of these changes are imperceptible to users and affect a very small percentage of websites, but each one of them is implemented only if we believe the change will benefit our users.”    – Eric Schmidt – CEO Google

The 516 changes in 2010 translates into 1.4 adjustments daily to Google’s algorithm alone. This does not include Yahoo, Bing or any other search engine. The fact is, no one knows what variation of factors will provide the best search result on a given day. However, knowing what elements are considered search engines allow an effective “best practices” approach to optimization to be implemented. This approach produces consistently positive results.

This is why Dialog Marketing Services provides a wide array of on-page and off-page SEO services and internet marketing strategies to help businesses hold and improve their search positions.
